Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, approximately 170 km from Nagpur, making it easily accessible by road.
Tipeshwar is known for its high tiger sighting probability, low tourist density, and peaceful safari experience compared to larger national parks like Pench and Tadoba.
The main safari gates are Sunna, Mathani, and Kodori, with Sunna Gate being the most popular and frequently used entry point.
Tipeshwar allows only a limited number of safari vehicles (approx. 20–25 per day), which ensures a less crowded and more exclusive jungle experience.
Safaris are conducted twice daily: Morning Safari: Around 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM. Afternoon Safari: Around 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM (timings vary depending on the season).
The best time to visit is from October to June, with March to May being ideal for tiger sightings due to increased wildlife activity near water sources.
